Abstract

The objective of this study was to perform a qualitative phytochemical screening of Galium asperifolium Wall extracts (aqueous, ethanol, methanol, n-hexane, ethyl acetate) to identify potential bioactive compounds. Tannins, flavonoids, phenols, terpenoids, saponins, anthocyanin, cardiac glycosides, coumarins, and alkaloids were detected, suggesting their role in the plant's medicinal properties. Further research is required to explore their pharmacological potential, isolate, and characterize the bioactive compounds responsible for the observed activities and medicinal effects.
